Was going to say, auto trans but with manual pedal box installed in prep for a manual conversion...?

What better way to finish off a dying automatic!

The car is missing the drivers seat.

Yes. Just finished swapping the pedal box. Even with the seat out, the gymnastics nearly exceeded my capabilities. Also installed the clutch master cylinder and prepped the wiring for the clutch start switch.
Next, pull the console and disconnect the auto shifter and linkage. Then, the fun really begins!

Awesome, good luck! Hopefully your bodily elasticity will not be tested on the auto trans / manual trans removal/install! :P

Thanks! Trying to persuade my neighbor, with a lift, to rent me some time.

198 6 Mazda RX7. Bought at an estate sale for $1000.00 with 50K miles. Sadly the transmission and the former owner’s health were failing at the same rate. Been acquiring the parts for the swap over the last 8 months. Getting it done before the cold takes hold in Nevada.

Sweet. I had a boss that let me use her convertible RX-7 to run errands for the store back in the ‘80s. I don’t really like convertibles, but if I come across one in white with a blue interior, like hers, I would be seriously tempted to snap it up.
